Under this traditional outsourced arrangement, ebix will receive or perform the following:

• demographic information electronically from the client for billing processing.
• code/verify appropriate CPT-4 and ICD-9 codes for each patient encounter.
• all data entry functions for billing processing. 
• electronically transmit CMS 1500 claim forms to insurance companies for payment.
• post daily payments to accounts.
• deposit moneys into an account under the sole control of the client or its designee on a daily basis.
• timely/effective claim follow-up/resolution on all overdue accounts to expedite payment of claim.
• provide patient statement printing and mailing processing.
• communicate current billing regulations to the client's physicians and staff to assure compliance with Federal, State, and local payer requirements.
• provide monthly standard/customized reports as agreed upon.

• all new demographic information, modifications, and updates in a timely manner.
• all current Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care provider numbers.
• financial terms of all insurance contracts to allow for accurate tracking of reimbursement.
• all pre-certification and insurance verification information to allow ebix and the client to be properly reimbursed for services rendered.
• a contact person(s) for ebix personnel to communicate with regarding billing issues for this initiative.
